Besides New York, Geneva, and Vienna, one of the four headquarters of the United Nations is located in Nairobi. The United Nation Environment Programme (UNEP) and the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat) are headquartered here. The German Embassy represents the Federal Republic of Germany at both UN agencies in Nairobi.
