Rangi za Urafiki - Let's Celebrate German - Kenyan Friendship
The Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany is pleased to announce the launch of the German–Kenyan Friendship Month, which will run from 21 September until the end of October 2025.
Under the slogan “Rangi za Urafiki: Let’s celebrate German–Kenyan Friendship”, the Embassy and its partners will showcase the diverse and rich cooperation between Germany and Kenya in areas such as development, economy, culture, science, and people-to-people exchange.
Throughout the month, a wide range of activities will take place — from technical cooperation workshops and a Kenyan–German job fair to our national day celebration and cultural highlights such as Oktoberfest. These events will shine a spotlight on the depth of our partnership and the strong bonds between our two countries.
The kick-off event will be a public Watchparty of the Berlin Marathon on Sunday, 21 September 2025 from 10:00 to 14:00 in Eldoret. This event will celebrate Kenyan sporting excellence, present the Berlin Marathon as an international platform for sports diplomacy, and promote sports tourism in Kenya.
We warmly invite the public to join us in celebrating the many colours of friendship — Rangi za Urafiki.
