The Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Nairobi is currently looking for a - Management Assistant in Administration - (male/female) starting from August 2026.
Your Tasks:
Deputy head of Service Center: Offering of adequate and efficient support to the entire staff of the German Embassy, in particular to newcomers, this includes:
- Smooth implementation of administrative processes in line with Embassy procedures (e.g. leave day applications)
- Assist colleagues in travel plannings, gathering quotations, flight tickets, hotel bookings as well as visa procedures for diplomats.
- Liaison officer for different hotels in Nairobi.
- Maintenance of in-house databases of contact persons, invitational lists, on-call-duty schedule
- Administration of embassy’s database for interns and assisting interns to prepare for their internship at the Embassy
Your Profile
- At least three years’ experience as administrative assistant, team assistant or secretary
- Good organizational skills, service-orientated and team play
- Master of Microsoft Office programs (esp. Word & Excel)
Language Skills
- Fluency in English and Swahili, both written and spoken
- Very good command of German (Level B2)
